Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book the Wedding Music Dallas Team for my wedding?

1. Once you verified with us that we are available on your date & time and you are OK with our pricing, please fill out our booking form HERE.
2. After receiving the booking form, we will send you the contract within 24-48 hours. If you don’t receive it, please follow up with us – you can never trust the internet 100%…
3. We hold your date and time in our calendar for 3-4 business days – that gives you plenty of time to print our simple agreement, sign it and mail or email it back to us with a reservation fee to secure your date with us. You can also scan it and email it to us and submit the payment electronically.
4. To complete our booking, we need both the contract with your signature on it, and the reservation fee.

5. As soon as we get the contract and the reservation fee, you will get a notification via email for your records.
6. Any remaining balance must be paid off no later than 30 days prior to your wedding. We will need your song list preferably at the same time or at least 2 weeks before your wedding. Please use OUR song list form to let us know your song wishes.

It is very important for us to time everything perfectly.
7. Please make sure you choose all the songs from our list.

Your price is not displayed anywhere on your website … and by the way, How do I pay you?

We can not display our pricing, not because it is a secret, but because it depends on the exact date, time of the day, distance, and the number of musicians. There are peak and off-peak times, morning, afternoon, and evening weddings/events, short and unusually long performance requests, and different distances. These factors are strongly affecting our prices, so we need to know these to give you a firm quote.

You can send us a check (address will be on the contract), you can do Zelle Pay (free), or you can use your credit card via PayPal. Please note that the Paypal convenience fee that they charge us will be added to the amount you need to pay us.

What happens on my wedding day?

1. We will arrive about 50 minutes before your ceremony starts.
2. Please have the venue set up our chairs where you wish us to sit by that time. One chair without arms for each musician.
3. Please tell your coordinator (or the person in charge on the day of) to say hello to us (before we start playing) to work out the cues and any additional final details.
4. With our PRINCESS package, we greet your guests with 20-25 min. of beautiful pre-ceremony music. Please gives us a hint if you prefer the traditional classics or contemporary songs for this part of your wedding music.
For the processionals you are welcome to select your favorite tunes: one song for the entrance of mothers & grandmothers, one song for the bridal party, and of course, the main song for Your Entrance. Please refer to our Program Ideas page if you need help with this.
5. You may need us to play some short, pretty music in the middle of your ceremony. This can be a very special touch if you choose to light a unity candle, pour unity sand, or during communion. It is for the best if you let us choose the song for this part of the ceremony, so we can customize it for your needs, on the spot.
We play several songs for the recessional as your guests are leaving. The ceremony music typically lasts about 30 minutes.
If your wedding ceremony starts on time or just a few minutes late, this gives you approximately a full hour of music.

Outdoor performances…

1. Yes, we do play outdoors, but we do not play in the rain (even mist), or without shade in extreme heat under the sun, or under a certain temperature without heating elements.
2. Based on our 15 years’ experience, we have a hard time performing well in temperatures below 63-65°F. (Thankfully, in the DFW area this is not generally a concern.) At temperatures lower than 63F, we must have adequate supplemental heating: 2 tall patio heaters. One on each side. It has to be turned ON by the time we arrive. Thank you!
3. We are not responsible for any weather-related cancellations or alterations. We do not refund any payments.
Please always have a “Plan B” for your outdoor wedding ceremony. Just in case.
4. We enjoy playing outdoors. However, our amazing quality instruments are a bit pickier. The instruments must avoid direct exposure to the sun as this causes the instruments to warp, possibly melt the varnish and this diminishes the sound quality.
For this reason, we require complete shade while using our instruments outdoors in hot weather.
Our agreement will specify all these details. Please do not worry: all the conditions are very reasonable.

Does The European Ensemble Strings work with singers or collaborate with other musicians?

Definitely! Our string trio and string quartet have great experience in accompanying singers/vocalists and other musicians. We can bring professional singers, a trumpeter, or a saxophone player to join us, but we are more than happy to accompany your family friend as well – even if she is not a pro just an enthusiastic amateur who wants to make you happy. Since these tend to be unique to each wedding, please contact us with your specific requirements. Normally, these types of special performances require a rehearsal with the guest artist.

To-do list before our performance…

1. Please send us the final payment and our songlist form at least 30 days before your wedding.
2. Please prepare 2-3 or 4 chairs for us (depending on whether you hired us as a string duo, string trio or string quartet) where you wish us to sit at least 30 minutes before our scheduled start time.
3. Things often change over time after booking the musicians. Please verify your wedding ceremony start time with us when you send us the final payment.
4. Please provide sufficient light to see our sheet music. If you think that your event will be in low light conditions, please let us know in advance. In this case, we will bring some special equipment at no cost to you. Just let us know.
5. Here is a “To-Do” list summarized for you and/or your coordinator in a printable PDF.

Overtime...

Sometimes things don’t exactly go according to plan and you may need us longer than the agreed time frame. If we can accommodate your request, we will ask you to take care of the charges immediately.

Our overtime charges will be on the agreement you will sign. The extra time has to be paid via Zelle pay or cash at the time of the request or before our team leaves the premises.

Parking and meals for us...

As per our agreement, you will be responsible to provide all of us with complimentary valet parking or a free nearby parking option.

If we perform for you for more than 2.5 hours, please consider preparing us a light meal like a sandwich and some sodas – this helps us to keep the energy level high  Emoji  Many thanks in advance!

Thank you for your confidence in us. We will earn your trust. See you on your wedding day!
